Prefer to watch? Here’s how we set up Google Ads for landscapers, in 8 minutes.

Start with the work you want
Landscaping covers everything from mowing to full backyard rebuilds. Decide which work you want more of before building anything, because the keywords, ads and pages are different for each.
Campaign structure
- Design-build and hardscaping — patios, retaining walls, full yard installs
- Installs and refreshes — sod, mulch, planting, cleanups
- Maintenance — recurring lawn and landscape care
- Commercial — HOAs and property managers (separate budget)
Timing
Homeowners plan in late winter, and searches spike in spring. Launch or ramp up before the spike, so campaigns are tuned when demand peaks. Seasonal landscaping strategy.
Negatives
Block nursery and garden-center shopping, landscape supply and bulk material purchases, DIY and “ideas” searches, and job searches.
Landing pages
Project photos sell landscaping. Each main service needs a page with real before-and-afters, a description of your process and a quote form that asks about project type and budget.
Tracking
Calls and forms, separated by campaign. For design-build, track consultations booked, not just inquiries.
What results can look like
In one landscaping account we managed, $3,160 in Google Ads spend over 45 days produced 65 leads, and the client reported 45 booked jobs. Read the case study. Every market is different, but the structure above is the same one we used.
