Why the Tri-Cities

Bringing what works on the west side to Eastern Washington

Altura Marketing Group is a Washington-based digital marketing and advertising agency. Our campaigns have been producing calls and quote requests for contractors in Western Washington and in Southwest Washington — Vancouver, Longview and Kelso — and the Tri-Cities is where we’re expanding next.

We’re upfront about that: we don’t have Tri-Cities clients yet. What we do have is a system that already works for service businesses like yours — Google Search campaigns built around the jobs you want, Local Services Ads, landing pages that turn clicks into calls, and tracking on every call and form — and a market that, in our experience, is far less crowded with skilled advertisers than Seattle or Portland.

That’s the opportunity for a Kennewick, Pasco or Richland business: the homeowners are searching, the competition for those searches is thinner, and a well-built account can stand out quickly.

The Tri-Cities market

What makes Tri-Cities advertising different

The Tri-Cities — Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, plus West Richland — straddle Benton and Franklin counties where the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers meet. It’s one of the faster-growing areas in Washington, and it behaves very differently from Puget Sound:

  • Extreme seasons. Hot, dry summers and cold winters mean real swings in demand. AC repair and replacement searches spike in the heat, furnace and heat pump searches spike with the first hard freeze, and landscaping and irrigation demand follows spring and summer. Budgets should move with the season instead of sitting flat all year.
  • A lot of newer homes. Growth in areas like Southridge in Kennewick, Badger Mountain and Horn Rapids in Richland, and the Road 68 corridor in Pasco brings homeowners looking for landscaping, fencing, patios, additions and system upgrades — not just repairs.
  • Drive time defines your service area. Many businesses also cover Finley, Burbank, Benton City, Prosser and Walla Walla. Targeting should match the areas your crews can reach profitably, not a circle on a map.
  • Reputation travels fast. In a market this size, reviews and word of mouth carry a lot of weight. Ads work best when your Google Business Profile and reviews back them up.
  • Less crowded search results. Fewer businesses run well-managed Google Ads here than on the west side, which often means more room to win the top spots at a reasonable cost per lead.

How we work with Tri-Cities clients

Remote by default, in person when it matters

  1. Strategy call

A Google Meet call with Cole to look at your services, service area, competitors and any ads or website you already have.

  2. Plan

A straight recommendation on channels, budget and which Tri-Cities areas to target first — no bundle you don’t need.

  3. Build and launch

Campaigns, landing pages and call and form tracking go live together, so every lead is counted from day one.

  4. Ongoing

Regular video check-ins and plain-English reporting. For larger clients and marketing packages, we’ll make the drive over for in-person meetings and video ad shoots.

FAQ

Questions from Tri-Cities business owners

Do you have an office in the Tri-Cities?

No. We’re a Washington-based agency and work with clients over Google Meet, which is how most of our client relationships run day to day. For larger clients and marketing packages, Cole will drive over to Kennewick, Pasco or Richland for meetings and video ad production.

Why choose an agency that’s new to the Tri-Cities?

Because the system is proven even if the market is new to us. Our campaigns already produce leads for contractors across Western and Southwest Washington, and the fundamentals — the right searches, strong landing pages, tight targeting and real tracking — work the same way in Kennewick as they do in Vancouver. You also get the founder running your account, not a junior rep.

How much should a Tri-Cities business spend on Google Ads?

It depends on your trade, the jobs you want and how many you can handle. Click costs are often lower than in Seattle, so a modest budget can go further. We work backwards from your job value and close rate to a budget that pays for itself. See what Google Ads costs in Washington.

Do you run Facebook and Instagram ads and video ads?

Yes. Meta ads work well alongside Google for home services, especially for seasonal offers and retargeting people who already visited your site. For bigger packages we can come out and film video ads at your shop or job sites. See Facebook and Instagram ads.

Which areas around the Tri-Cities can you target?

Any of them — Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Finley, Burbank, Benton City, Prosser, Walla Walla and beyond. We set targeting by the areas your crews actually serve.
